Our Mares
OHF Ambassadors Dixie Belle - AMHA & AMHA registered - 2006 - 30"Black Pinto
In 2008, "Dixie" became our first national level show horse. She started out with a bang, earning enough points to qualify for the World Championship Show in her first class of her first AMHA show!! Thanks to Tony Benvenuto and Janet Lewis of Standing Ovation Miniatures for making her such a success.

Fairway Farms Moonlight Lady - AMHA & AMHR registered - 2005 - 32" Dark Bay
Fairway Farms Shady Lady - AMHA & AMHR registered - 2004 - 32" Sorrel
"Buttons" is the perfect mini to have around the farm. She has a sweet and curious personality, which makes her the perfect farm ambassador. She always ends up entertaining any children visiting our farm. She will happily stand to be brushed and fussed with for hours or readily let a small child take her through an obstacle course time and time again. She was my first miniature and continues to steal my heart each and every day.
"Shady" is our oldest mare. This picture really does not do her color justice, she's a stunning rich sorrel. She has a wonderful habit of adopting the newest horses, especially when they are young foals, so we expect her to be a great mom. Shady was expecting our first foal in this picture. Check the Foals page for pictures of her handsome colt, "Hawk".
OHF Ambassadors Jubilee - AMHA registered - 2005 - 33" Black Pinto
"Jubilee" is 33 inches of grace, spirit and beauty. She won my husband over within minutes of meeting her and remains his favorite. She is stunning to watch running in the pasture.
Fairway Farms Blue Sahara - AMHA & AMHR registered - 2005 - 33"Smokey Black
"Sahara" is trained to pull a cart and seems to enjoy it immensely. She was born a light palomino color, like her dam, but soon started turning dark like her sire. Her summer coat is a gorgeous chocolate brown. Her changes of color and her love of "strolls" with the cart around the neighborhood are just a couple of reasons why we think this mare is so special. Sahara also has the makings of a great comedian - most of her pictures turn out like the one to the right. Check the Foals page for pictures of her handsome colt, "Chief".
We also show Jubiliee on a local basis. She recently was named Reserve Champion Mare at the 2009 Spring Virginia Miniature Horse Club Show.
LR Scouts Rags to Riches - AMHA registered - 2008 - 30" Buckskin Pinto
"Ricka" is a true delight to have on the farm. She has a very quick mind and a great deal of spirit. With her impressive pedigree, refined confirmation and exotic color, we expect her to have a very successful show career. Until then, she is a joy to watch as she grows up and plays in the pastures.

KSB Illusions Promise - AMHA registration pending - 2010 - currently 27" Dapple Grey
"Promise" is our very exciting new addition. With her refined confirmation, beautiful color and impressive pedigree, she is sure to be a success in the show ring. Thank you Devin Kuhn, KSB Miniatures, for giving me the opportunity to purchase such a wonderful filly. She has stolen our hearts!
It's clear that Promise has a great show career ahead of her. We recently showed her at the Virginia State Fair Miniature Horse Show. She earned the Champion Jr. Mare Ribbon and trophy and just to show she has balance, took the blue ribbon in the Solid Color Mare class!!!
